A saliva neutraliser — the mouthwash / liquid used right before a swab or saliva test to pass it in the moment (not a whole-body detox). Search demand in the USA and New Zealand, split into keywords and questions, plus where AI search fits in.

Headline: This is a pass-the-test-now saliva neutraliser, not a body detox — so the big generic “detox” searches are a related but different product (shown separately). Almost nobody searches “THC neutraliser” by name (0 in NZ, ~20/mo US); people search the goal — passing a mouth-swab / saliva test. The US has the volume; in NZ demand sits around roadside drug testing. And more of these questions now go to AI, not Google (see the AI section).
Part 1 — Keywords
Product and topic search terms (nouns people type). These carry the commercial / buying intent.
🇺🇸 United States — keywords
Related but a different product → whole-body cleanse searches (drinks / pills over days), not a swab neutraliser. Big volume, but a different buyer — don’t count it as yours.
🇳🇿 New Zealand — keywords
Related but a different product (whole-body cleanse, not a swab neutraliser):
Part 2 — Questions
How people phrase it as a question — the content & FAQ opportunities (and exactly what they ask AI assistants).
🇺🇸 United States — questions
🇳🇿 New Zealand — questions
Difficulty (how hard to rank, 0–100): 0–14 easy 15–30 medium 31+ hard · CPC = advertiser cost-per-click (commercial value proxy).
Part 3 — AI search
People are asking AI, not just Google
More and more of these questions get typed straight into ChatGPTGoogle AI OverviewsGeminiPerplexityCopilot — the assistant answers in full, so the person often never clicks a website.
The questions people now ask AI
How long does weed stay in your system?
How do I pass a mouth swab drug test?
Will THC show up on a roadside saliva test?
How can I beat a saliva drug test for weed?
How long does THC stay in my saliva?
What can I use to pass a swab test?
SEMrush (and every keyword tool) only measures the Google numbers above. Treat those as the visible tip: once ChatGPT and the other assistants are counted, the real demand for these answers is meaningfully higher than the volumes shown.
The question cluster is where AI shows up most. For “how to / how long / does X test for weed”, Google now shows an AI Overview above the links and the assistants answer directly — classic blue-link traffic for those terms is shrinking.
The play is to be the source the AI cites (AEO / GEO — answer-engine / generative-engine optimisation): clear, factual, well-structured answers, FAQ & How-To schema, and strong topical authority so the models quote you by name even when the user doesn’t click.
The product / buying keywords still belong to search. “Saliva detox mouthwash,” “toxin rid mouthwash,” “roadside drug testing nz,” “buy…” — these are commercial and far less AI-answered, so they stay click-and-convert driven. That’s where the SEO + conversion value is.
Net: win the questions as the trusted answer AI and Google quote (brand visibility), and win the keywords as the pages that actually sell.
What it means
It’s a neutraliser, not a detox. The big “thc detox” (9,900) and “detox mouthwash” searches are a different product (multi-day body cleanse) — don’t count that volume as your market.
Don’t optimise for “THC neutraliser.” No one types it. Win on the problem: passing a mouth-swab / saliva (or roadside) test.
USA is the market. Big, low-competition question demand funnels into product terms like saliva detox mouthwash, toxin rid mouthwash, mouth swab detox, oral clear.
NZ is niche but has an angle: “roadside drug testing nz” (1,600/mo, $7.34 CPC) and general drug-test questions — content & authority more than product search.
